DJ Cymba accumulated his reputation in Chicago by DJ’ing and hosting open mics throughout the city, including but not limited to: Lyric Lagoon, Friday Night Lites, YCA, and FLOW (Fresh Lyrics on Wednesday).
He’s hosted multiple house parties across the city, DJ’d for some of the most talented artists in Chicago, university events across Illinois, and festivals such as The Taste of Chicago and South by Southwest.

DJ Cymba, also known as The Lemon Pepper Legend is a Chicago-based DJ, host and event curator, known for his ability to mix tracks of the nostalgic past and a fresh present.
DJ Cymba selects sounds that take us through time via unexpected yet seamless blends of HipHop, RnB, Funk, Soul, Gospel, and Trap. Often combining b-side selections with current trending hits, Cymba creates a safe space for his audience to reflect on timeless gems and create new memories. DJ Cymba has blessed the stages of street fests such as Bom Da Lot Fest, Taste of Chicago, and Lollapalooza.
DJ Cymba has also toured independently and internationally with Heavy Crownz, Mother Nature, TheGr8Thinkaz, Elton Aura, and LALA LALA, and opened for acts like CupcakKe, Durand Bernarr, and Rico Nasty.
